Everyone enjoys a good summer menu to celebrate the 4th. Classic recipes mixed with some modern flavor combinations will create a refreshing menu to please any guest.

Celebrating the 4th a patriotic menu

Libations

1. Patriotic Punch – this refreshing summer punch is perfect for the 4th of July. Check out tomorrow’s post for the recipe!

Appetizers

2. Deviled Eggs – give this staple picnic appetizer a fun twist by adding bacon, chives, and sharp cheddar cheese.

3. Black Bean, Corn & Avacado Salsa – this fresh salsa has all the best flavors of summer.

4.  Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños –  always a crowd pleaser.

Main Course

5. Beer and Lime Grilled Chicken Wings – marinating chicken wings in beer and lime not only gives them great flavor, it also keeps them from drying out on the grill.

6. Steak Kebabs – another sure way to please everyone – steak and veggies – can’t  get easier or better than this!

7. Grilled Watermelon & Feta Salad with Basil – who says you can’t grill a salad? Grilling watermelon caramelizes the sugars and adds complexity of flavor. Mix with feta and basil for a unique twist on this classic summer fruit.

8. BLT Pasta Salad – I’m not sure any summer BBQ is complete without a pasta salad. This recipe is a twist on the classic by adding – what else? – BACON.

Dessert

9. Stuffed Summer Strawberries – these red, white & blue sweets pair perfectly with the patriotic theme. Take the flavor up a notch and use mascarpone for the filling.

10. Tabletop Smores – Too hot out for a bonfire? Terra cotta pots lined with foil hold coals so everyone can make their smores tableside.

Hope this menu has provided some inspiration for your Independence Day party!
